Project Description
The scope of work consisted of structural analysis and specialized studies for the assembly and construction of the drillship topside, as modularized structures for the drillships.
The execution of the above activities is divided in three main phases:
- Phase I: Feasibility – Definition of permanent and temporary structural changes and reinforcements in the drillship topside structures to allow modular assembly and installation;
- Phase II: Consolidation – Execution of a new set of analyses to evaluate alternative solutions that might be proposed by the client;
- Phase III: Final – Update the studies after final definition of weight and CoG of the structures, assembly and installation resources and structural permanent modifications.
